Overview

  • Baccarat is a glamorous game with flexible limits, where you decide to bet on player or banker. The one with the highest point or the point closest to 9 will be the winning hand. The minimum point is 0 while the maximum point is 9.
  • All cards from 2 to 9 are counted at face value. An Ace is counted as 1. Picture cards (King, Queen and Jack) and 10s have a value of 0. Any combinations totalling 10 will likewise be regarded as 0.
  • The number of cards used for playing ranges from 1 to 8 decks of which the choice is at the discretion of the house. Both player and banker can draw a maximum of 3 cards each.
  • The game begins with you betting on either player or banker using House chips only. Betting limits are displayed at the gaming table.
  • Four cards will be dealt by the House: the first and third cards will go to the player’s hand, while the second and fourth cards will be the banker’s hand.
  • Only one more card may be drawn by either side, governed by the Baccarat rules. The player draws the third card first. Drawing of the banker’s third card depends on the player’s third card.
  • When either player or banker has a value of “Natural” 8 or 9 on the initial two cards, no third card will be drawn for either side. If one side has a “Natural” 8 and the other side a “Natural” 9, the “Natural” 9 wins.
  • However, if the total point count is the same for both banker and player, it is a tie or draw game. Betting on either side will remain unaffected. There is an option to bet on a tie, which pays 8 to 1. In a no-tie situation, any bet on “tie” will be regarded as a losing bet.
  • Players can also bet on a “Player’s Pair” or “Banker’s Pair”. “Player’s Pair” or “Banker’s Pair” is based on the outcome of the two initial cards: whether it is a pair on player or banker respectively. Payment for the above is 11 to 1.
  • For bets on the banker side, the House takes a commission of 5% on each betting.
  • The game will be conducted either with face-up or face-down (squeezing) of cards as determined by the House.

No-Commission Baccarat

  • Players also have the option of playing No-Commission Baccarat at designated tables with proper signage displayed.
  • All winning banker bets will be paid even money except when the banker side wins on total points of 6 – the winning banker bets will be paid with 50% rate of the amount betted. (For example, RM100 winning banker bet will be paid RM50.)
