Born into simplicity in the Fujian province of China, Lim Goh Tong became the family breadwinner at a young age after the untimely passing of both his father and older brother. Leaving home, he embraced the Malayan's (pre-Malaysia) shores with hope, working as a carpenter while mastering the native language. His journey, marked by determination, laid the foundation for what would become a legacy of greatness.
