If you didn’t know, there are 7 hotels to choose from at Resorts World Genting for your next stay. If you’re a theme park enthusiast who wants to make the most of your time at the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, or if you’re travelling in a group of six, you’ve probably chosen the Genting SkyWorlds Hotel (GSWH). But, if you need to find out more about the hotel before you make your reservation, read on.

Where is the hotel located?

The hotel is located right at the doorstep of the outdoor theme park and the Arena of Stars, where all the concerts are held. Depending on your assigned room, you might have a bird’s eye view of both.

You just have to walk a minute or two, and you’ll be at the entrances of either location. Otherwise, you’ll have a view of the 130 million-year-old rainforest. There is also easy and direct access via a link bridge to the SkyAvenue mall from the hotel, about a mere five minutes’ walk away.

What’s Inside?

Once you step into the colourful and fantastical lobby, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the pages of a storybook. Humongous replicas of monkey cup plants (which grow in the surrounding rainforest) double up as chairs.

The reception area replicates a hot air balloon and there is a small playground including a mini slide where children can have fun while waiting for their parents to check-in.

Here, you’ll see statues of the Genting’s Highland Heroes (GHH) such as Tabby the Tiger, which you can snap a picture with and foliage which brings the outdoors in. If you want a Meet & Greet with Genting’s Highland Heroes mascots, read more here

Venue: Genting SkyWorlds Hotel Lobby
Time: Every Saturday and Sunday, 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm

You can also watch fun clips of them on the screens on the walls or admire the outside view. You can also choose to check-in early, with a minimal charge.

What Room Types Are There?

There are two wings, including the Main Block (where all the Sixers rooms are and some Quads rooms) and the Valley Wing at an adjacent building which you will have to walk along a link bridge to reach.

Some guests prefer the rooms closer to the theme park, while others like rooms at the Valley Wing which is a short walk away from the main entrance and slightly quieter.

There are four room types:

  • Quads - A 260 sq ft space with two Queen-sized beds. Ideal for 2 adults & 2 children only.

  • Sixers is a 300 sq ft space with three Queen-sized beds. It is ideal for 4 adults and 2 children only. The bunk bed area is for children with a weight limitation of 80 kg.

  • Kings - A 220 sq ft space with a King-sized bed. Ideal for two adults only.

  • SkyWorlds Suite - A 550 sq ft suite with bathtub. Ideal for 2 adults only.

The corridors are lit with ambient lighting to make you feel like you are in a mysterious escape room. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and most importantly, clean.

In the Quads and Sixers rooms, the layout is fuss-free and adorable stencil drawings line the walls, such as a ‘chandelier’ and a ‘sofa’. In place of curtains, there are black shades with drawings on them, which appear like a blackboard with cute scribbles by kids.

Some rooms come with balconies to enjoy the outdoor mountainous surroundings and chairs. In the mornings, you can enjoy a cool breeze and even a bird’s eye view of the KL landscape if it isn’t misty. These rooms at the Valley Wing also have the best view at Resorts World Genting.

Each room comes with flat-screen TVs, a safe box, wall hooks, a mini fridge with bottles of drinking water, a kettle, and coffee & tea making facilities. The room also comes with slippers and a laundry bag. The beds feature the Japanese Tatami style with space to keep luggage under them. Next to the beds, there are sockets & USB ports.
