Shen Wen Cheng & Maya Live Concert

28.07.2026 (Tuesday)
6pm
Arena of Stars

Shen Wen Cheng, a legendary double award-winning artiste, celebrated for his versatile talent and ability to perform in five languages including English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean. He made history in 1983 with his debut album “Who Knows My Heart”, which was the first in Taiwan to surpass one million copies in sales. The song became such a cultural phenomenon that international superstars like Andy Lau and Jackie Chan famously learned to sing it to connect with local fans during their promotions in Taiwan.

Beyond his early success, Shen Wen Cheng evolved into a creative powerhouse in the 1990s, composing timeless hits like “Going to Taitung” and “Old Love is Also Lingering”. His mastery of music and hosting earned him prestigious accolades, including the Golden Melody Award for Best Taiwanese Male Singer in 1999. From his record-breaking debut to his status as a multi-talented icon, Shen Wen Cheng remains an indelible and respected figure in the history of Chinese and Taiwanese pop music.

Maya is widely recognised as the "record-holder of the Golden Melody Awards" in the Taiwanese music scene. Renowned for her unique R&B-style vocal runs, she successfully blended modern Rhythm and Blues with traditional Hokkien folk songs. With her masterful vocal technique, she was honoured as Best Taiwanese Female Singer at the 15th Golden Melody Awards in 2004 for her album “Hidden”. She is not only a pioneer of this modern singing style in the Taiwanese music world but also a powerhouse diva defined by her immense emotional depth and technical brilliance.

She holds a spectacular record of 11 consecutive nominations for Best Taiwanese Female Singer, with a career total of 16 nominations—a record that remains unsurpassed to this day. With a timeless artistic vitality and profound vocal foundation, Maya has become an irreplaceable and iconic figure in the history of Taiwanese pop music.
