If you’ve visited Resorts World Genting several times, chances are you’ve accumulated more than a few mountaintop memories along the way. From riding the cable car and braving theme-park thrills to catching a concert, there’s always something new to tick off. And for those who remember our attractions from yesteryear, there are some nostalgic experiences to revisit. • Rode on a cable car

This is a bonus: many start the trip with a ride on the Awana SkyWay or Genting SkyWay and take in the panoramic mountain views on the way up.

• Stayed overnight

A day trip to Resorts World Genting is never quite enough. Tick this off if you’ve spent the night at one of our seven hotels like First World Hotel, Genting Grand, or Crockfords.

• Had a hotpot meal

There's something about having a steaming hotpot when you're here in our cool mountain landscape. Our Genting Secret Garden Hotpot is a favourite. 

• Caught a show

We’ve welcomed countless celebrities through our doors over the years, like John Legend, Rain, and Joey Yung. You’ve probably seen a concert, theatrical production or other live performances at the Arena of Stars or our other venues. 

• Ridden a roller coaster

Braved one of the rides at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park or Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park. We have a couple of other rides that will get your adrenaline going too.      

• Explore our rainforest — For something beyond the main attractions, Genting Nature Adventures also offers experiences within our 130-million-year-old rainforest. 

• Had a feast at Burger & Lobster

Some come up just to have a taste of our famous lobsters flown in from Nova Scotia, Canada. 

• Met The Genting Highland’s Heroes

The fun bunch consists of Tabby the Tiger, Allie the Elephant, Joe the Orangutan, Benny the Entertainer, Callie the Dragon, and Geno the Dinosaur. They only appear during selected times in the week, so you’re truly a regular visitor if you’ve seen them.    

• Celebrated at New Year’s Eve countdown

It’s become somewhat of a tradition for some, especially those who reside in KL, to start the new year with a bang (quite literally, with our fireworks show). Every year we have live artist lineups, DJ sets, and a resort-wide celebration above the clouds. 

• Celebrated A Festive Season Here

Every festive season, such as Chinese New
Year and Christmas, Resorts World Genting goes all out with our décor, and it’s also a great place to spend time with your family and loved ones.

• Watched The Malaysia National Lion Dance Championship — Resorts World Genting began hosting the Malaysia National Lion Dance Championship in 1994 and has been the venue for this prestigious event ever since. This competition showcases the best lion dance troupes across Malaysia. The 21st edition is scheduled for September 2026. Get your tickets here.

• Visited Snow World

For those who are tired of the blistering heat of the city and don’t want to fork out thousands to experience snow in a far-flung country, this is your best bet. 

• Eaten Our Famous Mooncakes

Our housemade, handcrafted mooncakes have been beloved for years, using our time-honoured techniques. They’re back again for the Mid-Autumn Festival season.

• Taken A Photo At SkyAvenue's Signature Signage

This is a favourite photo spot for many people who visit the resort and SkyAvenue. The soft light reflected on the floor makes the photo look good even without editing. Say cheese!

• Visited Chin Swee Caves Temple

You may have made a scenic stop along the cable-car route or driven up andstopped along the way to explore the temple complex. Did you know that 18 years were spent to complete the construction?

• Visited The Talking Garden

Not many people even know this place exists, so you’re truly a pro if you tick this one off. It’s a landscaped retreat and recreational park located near Genting SkyWorlds Hotel, which overlooks the valley of Genting Highlands.

THROWBACK ACTIVITIES

This section is for those who visited Resorts World Genting years ago, before its facelift:      

• Visited During Your Childhood

Many Malaysians have fond memories of visiting Resorts World Genting, back in the days before it underwent an amazing transformation. We’ll still count it if you visited when you were under 18 years old. 

• Taken a boat around the lake — the lake and boat ride were once a recognisable feature of the previous outdoor theme park

• Walked under the blue-sky ceiling — the old indoor mall cum theme park had a ceiling designed to look like a bright blue sky with clouds.

• Rode the old “Spider-Man” rollercoaster

Unofficially known as the Superman or Spider-Man coaster at the old outdoor Genting Highlands Theme Park was the Flying Coaster, where riders lay face-down in a prone position. That outdoor ride closed years ago, but a spiritual successor named the Super Glider now operates indoors at the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park.
