Different people bring different personalities to Resorts World Genting. Some people arrive with a colour-coded itinerary and every meal planned. Others prefer to see where the day takes them. Then there are those who come with one mission: chase thrills, eat everything in sight, or simply enjoy a very good nap (hey, we don’t judge)

Read on to find out which Genting holiday personality you are (perhaps you might even be a combination of several).

The Planner

You've checked the map, researched the attractions, and probably have a spreadsheet somewhere. For you, a holiday is all about making the most of every minute, and you hate wasting time (this is me).

Here’s what we recommend: Start with exploring our brand new Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park. Then take a scenic ride on Genting SkyWay, then head to Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park for an afternoon of rides and immersive attractions. Finish with dinner at FUHU Vibe Dining Restaurant for Pahang-grown Patin. Continue with some shopping at SkyAvenue before heading back to the hotel. But you probably know all this already *winks*.

Your holiday motto: “We have a schedule for a reason.”

The Spontaneous One

Plans? What plans? You prefer to wake up, grab breakfast and decide what sounds fun in the moment. Perhaps you'll try out your skills at Genting Bowl or step into the chilly world of SnowWorld. If you spot something interesting along the way, you're stopping. You might ring up the M Spa at Genting Grand to book an appointment for a luxurious body treatment on a whim. Why not? Holidays are for you to relax and have fewer things to think about, without having to plan an itinerary.

Your holiday motto: “Chill. Let's just see what happens.”

The Foodie

You don't ask, “What should we do today?” you ask, “Where are we eating?” For you, every attraction is conveniently located between meals. Your camera roll isn't filled with ride photos; it's filled with food. Here are some must-try spots:

  • Swensen’s: Visit the classic ice cream parlour, designed to look like a fictional spacecraft travelling at warp speed.
  • Five Guys: Think cheeseburgers, customisable thick milkshakes, and generously portioned fries from the famous American brand.
  • Burger & Lobster: Our lobsters can’t get any fresher: they’re air-flown from Nova Scotia, Canada and served with dollops of butter. Yum.
  • Genting Secret Garden Hotpot Gohtong Way: everyone craves hotpot when they come here because of our cool mountain air.

Another tip is that if you’re visiting our Genting SkyWorlds theme park (tickets required), there are lots of dining options there too. Snacking between rides fuels you up for the next attraction. The Thrill Seeker

You didn't come all the way up the mountain just to take it easy. There’s no better place to satisfy your adrenaline rush than at one (make that two) of Malaysia’s best theme parks. Your first stop is Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, where you’ll want to look out for rides marked ‘Thrill Level: High’. This includes Independence Day: Defiance, Terraform Tower Challenge, and Invasion of the Planet of the Apes. These are sure to get your pulse racing.

Once you've conquered those, you'll probably head to Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park for even more thrills – because apparently one theme park isn't enough. Again, you’ll want to look out for our High Thrill rides including Disco!, a gigantic spinning disc that travels with increasing velocity, swings back-and-forth and rotates rapidly, Another is the Super Glider, a suspended lie-down coaster with sharp turns, curves and sudden drops

The Shopaholic

For you, ‘retail therapy’ is a perfectly legitimate holiday activity. If a city you’re visiting doesn’t have good shopping, it’s struck off your list. Thankfully, here we have not one, not two but five shopping destinations.

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets: Start at the base of the mountain where you can browse an extensive selection of fashion, lifestyle and other brands with up to 65% discount.
SkyAvenue: Head up to the peak for even more shopping, dining and entertainment. We have brands to suit every budget, including Rolex at Swiss Watch, Pandora, Fila, Marc Jacobs, and more.

Your holiday motto: “I'm just looking.”

Send this to your travel buddy and ask them, “Which one am I?”
