Resorts World Genting is located at a breathtaking location, surrounded by a 130-million-year-old rainforest, 6000 feet above sea level. To get here, you can enjoy a scenic drive by car, a chauffeured ride by limousine, taxi, e-hailing, or even hop on our inter-resort free shuttle.

However, a truly magnificent way to get to the top is by cable car! It’s not just a means of transportation; it’s an experience on its own.

From 1 October 2024, we are pleased to announce that reaching RWG will be easier than ever as our two cable cars will now simultaneously be in operation: the newly renamed Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car & Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car.

Previously the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car was first opened in 1997 by then-Prime Minister Mahathir and was named Genting SkyWay. These days it mainly served as a back up route during peak season but will now be fully operational next to the main cable car located at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.

You can choose your route from either Genting Gohtong Jaya, with breathtaking mountain views, or Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, with a free stop at Chin Swee Caves Temple and a bird’s eye view of the award-winning theme park – Genting SkyWorlds.

Here is what to know about the two cable cars:
