Johnny Ip Live in Concert 2023

Johnny Ip was born in Macau in 1944, and is a well-known Hong Kong male singer that was active in the music industry since the 1980s. Ip is revered for singing Hong Kong TV drama theme songs, such as "The Boy of the Play Class", "Tai Chi Zhang Sanfeng", "Forgetting the Love" (theme song of “True Legend”) and "Difficult to Positive and Evil" (theme song of "You Only Live Twice") and so on, which were all massive hits that are memorable to his fans.

In 1980, Ip won the Top Ten Singers award and another Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs award for his song "Drama Life". In 1984, his song "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer" was selected for the second season of the Top Ten Golden Songs.

In the 2010s, he joined Fengxing Records and released several albums. From 2007 to 2008, he held two solo concerts at the Hong Kong Cultural Center and participated in the Joseph Koo Kar Fei Classic Concert. In 2019, Ip collaborated with Frances Yip and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra to hold three sessions of "Dear Heart – HKCO Valentine's Day Concert with Frances Yip and Johnny Ip", and then collaborated again to hold another concert.
