Modern Malaysian cuisine: The Olive

dining

Newly reopened with a revamped menu, The Olive is the place to be for modern Malaysian cuisine.

dining

Featuring dishes drawn from Malay cultures, it’s a truly authentic representation of traditional Malay cooking.

dining

Nibble on a traditional Javanese ‘salad’ called Pecel, which is a grazing platter that includes lightly steamed vegetables with rice cubes, tossed in a hearty peanut sauce. The ideal way to start a modern Malay meal!

dining

Another unique signature that’s not to be missed is the Beriani rice, with The Olive’s version being prepared in a bamboo shaft that’s available in three protein options: lamb, lobster, and freshwater prawn. Each serving is accompanied by cucumber raita, papadums and curry gravy.

dining

Not forgetting the ikan patin tempoyak – freshwater catfish cooked in fermented durian. Each bite is a burst of umami goodness accompanied by the sweetness from the fish!

Phenomenal dry-aged steaks: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

dining

Experience luxe New York-style steakhouse dining at Malaysia’s first and only Wolfgang’s Steakhouse – the only outlet in the world with a view overlooking a theme park.

dining

Intimate and elegant, dining at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is not to be rushed. Diners can expect the familiar, classic New York steakhouse experience here, with well-trained staff and chefs paying meticulous attention to the tiniest details – from delivering the original and unchanged New York menu, to even the choice of steak knives used.

dining

The perfect appetizer to start your meal is the Lobster Bisque, a light but full-bodied broth made from scratch. This soup pairs perfectly with the onion bun from the complimentary bread basket, but do note that this dish contains alcohol.

dining

The signature Porterhouse steak is one to get all excited about – with its buttery aroma and juicy cuts, this visually pleasing 28-day dry-aged Australian Black Angus steak is one to remember. Consisting of filet mignon, tenderloin and top loin cuts, it’s best enjoyed with their house-made Old Fashioned Sauce that adds a tangy zing to each bite.

dining

What’s not to love about macaroni and cheese? At Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, this classic comfort food takes on an elevated taste with generous chunks of American lobster. This side dish pairs well with any available mains – and it’s so good that you can even enjoy it on its own.

dining

The tiramisu is the prime choice to choose from their dessert menu – this alcohol-infused treat features coffee-soaked ladyfingers and rich, velvety mascarpone cream in a generous serving. The perfect way to end an exquisite meal!
