Introducing the All-New Genting Rewards Membership Programme 

 

The Genting Rewards membership programme that you know has now been fully revamped and is now entirely digital! With the all-new cardless system, you can now: 

  • Flash a QR code upon payment, allowing merchants to quickly access your account
  • Provide your mobile number to earn points easily


What’s new with Genting Rewards?

Genting Rewards now offers a new frequency and spend-based loyalty programme, featuring Tier Points (TP) to reward you for every visit and spend at Resorts World Genting. Earn a minimum of 0.5TP or use 1 Genting Point, and you will receive an additional 5TP daily!

Our membership tier structure is also newly simplified to four tiers: Classic, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. For your convenience, the ‘Earn and Redeem’ programs are fully integrated into the RWG mobile app, allowing for more convenience.

The existing tiered loyalty programme benefit remains, awarding tier points resort-wide when you spend with us. For every Genting Point earned in a calendar year, an equivalent Tier Point will be awarded to you. 

This new upgrade allows you to climb through your membership tiers easily, with no worries on maintaining benefits that are exclusive to you. 

Activate your GeM QR code to start

Our all-new Genting Rewards programme requires you to set up your GeM account to start the seamless experience. Simply set up your GeM account and PIN, and your GeM QR will be activated for easy point redemption and balance checking at participating outlets.  

Creating a GeM account

Here are the steps on how you can set up your GEM account:

  1. Log into your account on the Resorts World Genting (RWG) app.
  2. Navigate to “Profile” and select “GeM Activation”.
  3. Fill in the necessary info and tap “ACCEPT”.
  4. Authentication - Choose one way to verify your identity via registered mobile or email.
  5. Enter and verify with the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile or email.
  6. Key in your preferred PIN and confirm. Your PIN must be in 6 – 8 digits (numeric).
  7. Your GeMCash account is successfully activated and the e-Cash pin set-up is done.

How to retrieve your QR code?

  1. Navigate to “Home” and tap GeM QR.
  2. The QR code shown is only available for 60 seconds.
  3. If the QR doesn't appear, please repeat step 1.

2025 New Genting Rewards Tier Status

Q1: How does the QR code reading work?
A: Members must download and log in to the RWG mobile app. The app stores their QR code, which must be shown to the service provider. Once scanned, the system retrieves membership details for transactions, including points earning, redemption, and access to resort facilities and gaming zones. 

Q2: Where are the locations that accept QR code scanning?
A: QR code access is applicable for Genting Points ‘Earn and Redeem’ program at food and beverage outlets, theme park rides, concert tickets, participating retail outlets, casino games, hotels, transport, and cable car rides.

Q3: As a member, what are the benefits of using QR code membership?
A: It is easy to access and convenient to use, with enhanced security compared to physical membership cards. As long as members successfully log in to the RWG mobile app, they will be able to view their membership QR code.

Q4: What are the security tips that members need to know?
A: Do not share your RWG Mobile App password, even with friends or family. Keep it confidential. Members are responsible for preventing misuse, which could lead to membership termination.

Q1: How does mobile number access work?
A: Kindly update your GeM account using the step-by-step guide above to register your mobile number. Once your account is activated, you can provide your mobile number at the counter or to participating merchants to start earning and redeeming points.

Q1: How do I know if the Genting Rewards membership is active?
A: We are excited to announce that your membership no longer has an expiry period! All other policies and procedures remain unchanged.

Q2: Can I still use my expired card?
A: Yes, you can still use your expired card as long as it is in good condition and free from magnetic or technical issues.

Q1: What is the minimum requirement to earn extra Tier Points?
A: Members receive 5 extra Tier Points daily when they either:

  • Earn 0.5 TP or more from gaming and non-gaming spending
  • Redeem 1 GP or more

Members who perform both steps will receive an additional 5 TP only.

Q1: Where do I view transaction history for Genting Points?
A: You may check it through the RWG official website or the RWG App. Here’s how:

  • RWG App: Go to “Profile” > “Profile” > “Profile”.
  • RWG Website: Click “Profile” > Click “Account” > Select the “statement” icon next to your Genting Points balance.

Q2: How does the PIN-based point redemption work at point-of-sale?
A: The PIN is required to verify certain transactions at the resort, including e-CASH withdrawals, voucher redemptions, and point redemptions. You can redeem points using your membership QR code or mobile number. For more details on PIN-based point redemption, click here.

Q3: I want to redeem my rewards or membership benefits using Mobile App. How does it work?
A: Members can skip queues and access perks via the RWG Mobile App. Download e-vouchers anytime under “My Rewards,” where available rewards are shown on the icon.

Q1: How many membership tiers are there in the Genting Rewards Programme?
A: There are four membership tiers (Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum) in the Genting Rewards Programme. SkyCard will no longer be applicable. Individuals aged 18 years and above are eligible to apply membership to the Programme. The entry level is Classic tier, which is the basic tier. Members can progress to higher tiers by earning the required Tier Points (TP) for each category.

Tier Breaks remain as 100 TP for Silver; 300 TP for Gold, and 10,000 TP for Platinum (by invitation). Tier Points reset to 0 at the beginning of each year.
